Day 1 - April 30th 2013

somerset river

The aim of this diary is to record a 0.8km stretch of Biddisham Lane in photographs every day.

The lane is in Somerset, England and is a no through road with the river Axe running alongside. It's a beautiful quiet road with seven properties, many animals wild and domestic and overlooked by the spectacular Crooks Peak hill.

I walk this lane every morning and by documenting this little part of the world I can look back on the lane throughout the year watching how it changes.

Today was the most glorious sun saturated morning. Still cold and fresh but with the birds singing and no breeze it was perfect.
The lambs were sunning themselves against their wooden stained outbuilding, the ducks at the farm were sleeping on the riverbank and blossom that will be turning into sloes and damsons were in full bloom.
The sky was a bright blue and sparrows darted in amongst the hedges catching the many bugs flitting about in the sun light specs of dust.
